Immersed in the lush rainforest, Heliconias Rainforest Lodge provides a serene escape, offering a range of eco-friendly activities to explore the natural wonders of Costa Rica. The friendly staff, including Jorge, our knowledgeable bird guide, made our stay truly special, embodying the warm Tico hospitality that I always cherish.From our spacious room with a breathtaking view of the volcano to the delicious local breakfast featuring homemade fruit smoothies and freshly prepared dishes, every detail at the lodge exuded charm and authenticity. The well-maintained trails on the property led us to delightful encounters with sloths, coatis, and a variety of colorful birds, adding to the immersive experience of being surrounded by nature.The proximity to both the national park and the Villa Verde tour made exploring the area effortless, allowing us to indulge in memorable wildlife sightings and breathtaking views. Although we didn't dine at the lodge every night, the delightful meals we enjoyed there left a lasting impression, showcasing the flavors of Costa Rican cuisine in a cozy setting. We look forward to our next visit, eager to uncover more hidden gems in this biodiverse paradise.
